How To Install Acoustic Panels? How To Fix It On The Wall?
How to install Acoustic panels? How to fix it on the wall?
Recently, customers often ask me how to install Acoustic panels? How to fix it on the wall? Here is a unified answer for everyone's convenience.
In fact, different Acoustic panels and different application places have different installation methods. For example, wood Acoustic panels generally use keels, wood wool Acoustic panels are glued, and soft-package Acoustic panels are nailed. The base material of the wall also determines the installation method, so it depends on the specific situation.
In general, there are three ways to install Acoustic panels.
The first type: glue on the wall, all-purpose glue or structural glue can be used;
The second type: steel nails are hit on the wall;
The third type: the original wall is fixed on the keel, and then the sound-absorbing board is fixed on the keel.
Let's talk about the way the keel is fixed here.
First of all, in order to ensure the acoustic design effect, the following preparations must be completed before the Acoustic panel is installed:
1. Installation site
(1) The installation site must be dry, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than 10 degrees Celsius.
(2) The maximum humidity change value at the installation site after installation should be controlled within the range of 40% to 60%.
(3) The installation site must meet the temperature and humidity standards specified above at least 24 hours before installation.
2. Acoustic panels
(1) Check the model, size and quantity of Acoustic panels.
(2) The Acoustic panel must be unpacked and placed in the place to be installed for 48 hours, so that the Acoustic panel can be shaped to adapt to the indoor environment. (This point is very important)
3. Keel
(1) The walls covered by the Acoustic panels must be installed with keels according to the requirements of the design drawings or construction drawings, and the keels must be leveled. The surface of the keel should be flat, smooth, free of rust and deformation.
(2) The structural wall should be pre-constructed in accordance with the building codes, and the arrangement size of the keel must be compatible with the arrangement of the Acoustic panels. The distance between wooden keels should be less than 300mm, and the distance between light steel keels should not be more than 400mm. The installation of the keel should be perpendicular to the length of the Acoustic panel (if you do not understand, you can consult the Acoustic panel manufacturer 13570905365).
(3) The distance from the surface of the wooden keel to the base layer is generally 50mm according to specific requirements. The error of the flatness and verticality of the edge surface of the wooden keel shall not be greater than 0.5mm.
